Quality Vs Comfort
There is hardly anyone who doesn’t know the beloved story of Cinderella. If anything, most brides want to feel like Cinderella on their wedding day; not because they want a glass slipper but because they are getting married to the man of their dreams.
There are several things to consider when shopping for your wedding shoes. Firstly, wedding location or wedding venue: would it be an inside wedding or an outdoor wedding? Most couples who have a beachside wedding ditch shoes and go barefoot. If you’re going for shoes, here are a few points to keep in mind:
Make sure your shoes are comfortable. You’ll most likely be in them from morning till night, so go for padding, extra support and most forgiving heels for your back.
Go for quality over bargain. Not all cheap shoes are best. Even if your budget is low, a comfortable pair of shoes is always worth paying the price for—your feet and back will thank you; you don’t want to be limping during your honeymoon now, do you?
Will the shoe you’re considering buying be great to dance in? If you plan to change into something more comfortable during your reception, then you can go for the high, sexy heels during the wedding ceremony.
The color of your shoes should complement your wedding dress. If you have a hard time choosing, you may want to bring a picture of your dress with you when you go shopping for shoes.
Consider your Wedding venue when shopping for your shoes; if you’re going to be walking in a grassy area make sure you buy some heel protectors as well.
Another point to consider is if you’d like to wear your wedding shoes again or would prefer it be for just this one occasion? If you would like to wear them again, you may want to be more practical in your choice. If not, a showstopper or a statement shoe will be the best choice for your wedding.
